Valedictory Programme and closing celebrations for our 125th anniversary

Dear Friends,

 You are warmly invited to the Valedictory Programme of the 125th Anniversary Celebrations of our beloved institution.

 As we bring this historic year to a close, we offer heartfelt thanks to God for His abundant grace that has sustained and guided us through more than a century. This anniversary year has given us many meaningful opportunities – to reflect on our rich heritage through the Heritage Lectures, to extend our healing ministry through health camps, to envision our future through the Consultation, and to come together as a community as well as to express our gratitude to local administrative officials during Hospital Day.

 The Valedictory Programme will be held on Saturday, 6th December 2025, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, at the Scudder Auditorium.

 We are honoured to welcome as our Chief Guest our esteemed alumnus, Prof. Ashok Venkitaraman, Director, Cancer Science Institute of Singapore; Distinguished Professor of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS; Executive Director, National Initiative for RNA Biology & its Applications (NIRBA), and Chief Scientist, Biomedical Research Council, Agency for Science, Technology and Research.

 As part of the closing celebrations:

• On Friday, 5th December 2025, a special 125-Year Run has been organised, carrying a torch through the town of Vellore from the Hospital Chapel (starting at 5.30 am) to the College Chapel. A total of 125 runners – students, staff, patients, and alumni – will participate in 13 groups, passing the torch from group to group. The final group will complete the run at the College Chapel, where the torch will be placed.

 On Sunday, 7th December 2025, a Valedictory Service will be held (starting at 6.00 pm), featuring Christmas Carols by the College Choir and a special message by Rev. Sunil M. Caleb, Principal, Bishop’s College, Kolkota. 

 Additionally, Sound and Light shows will be presented in the Sunken Garden at 8pm – in English on Saturday, 6^th December and in Tamil on Sunday, 7th December.
