Passing on of Dr. Jacob Abraham (MBBS batch of 1949)

Dear friends,

We are sorry to inform you of the passing on of Dr. Jacob Abraham (MBBS batch of 1949) on 19 April 2026.

Dr. Jacob Abraham (94), son of Rev. Dr. C.E. Abraham and Mrs. Thankamma Abraham, was born on 5.5.1931, and passed away peacefully on 19.4.2026.

He lived a life of dedication at CMC Hospital, Vellore, first as a student and then as Medical Superintendent and Head of the Department of Neurological Sciences. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Susan Abraham (Ammu), siblings, in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing at his residence No. 10, 15th Avenue, Harrington Road, Chetpet, Chennai 600031 between 7 and 9:30 am on 20.4.2026.

Funeral service will be held at Mar Thoma Syrian Church, Chetpet, Chennai at 10 am on 20.4.2026, followed by the burial at Kilpauk Cemetery, Chennai.
