NEWSLETTER 2025
“For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.“
Dear Friends,
Greetings from Vellore!
It is that time of the year again, to look back and give thanks. The Lord has been merciful and gracious to us. The Lord has bestowed on us all manner of blessings and continues to preserve us. As we mark the completion of a historic milestone – the completion of 125 years of CMC Vellore – we marvel at the countless ways in which we have been upheld through more than a century and a quarter. God’s faithfulness has carried us through, and His grace has been evident in every step of our journey.
In this spirit of gratitude and reflection, we celebrated the Medical Undergraduate Alumni Reunion 2025. Held from 7th to 9th August, 2025, this reunion brought together alumni from across the globe, along with their families, to reunite and celebrate the legacy of CMC Vellore. The special batches who attended were the classes of 1945, 1950, 1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1985, 1990, 1995, and 2000.

New initiatives

Upholding the core mandate
CMC continues to pursue its mandate in the sphere of education by hosting various academic programmes for our students, local practitioners and specialists in the region, as well as for network hospitals through the CME and Distance education units. Further, we have hosted a large number of state, national and international conferences throughout the year, apart from students and faculty participating in meetings worldwide.
The Chittoor campus continues to grow with increasing patient numbers, doctors, nurses and allied health personnel, facilities and new projects.
The Ranipet campus carries on the vision and mission of CMC, expanding daily to serve people from all parts of the country and the world. The Trauma Care centre has continued to expand its services in saving lives with the highest level of excellence.
We take a moment to pause and pray for the members of the CMC Vellore Administration as they continue to lead the institution to “build the kingdom of God”, as envisioned by our founder. In the face of daily challenges, they steadfastly serve, never seeking to be served, and manage their responsibilities with strength to meet every rightful demand.
We pray that not only the leaders but also every member of the CMC family may continue to live and work with a deep sense of purpose, responding to their calling with sincerity and honesty, and in the coming year “see the larger meaning of little things and finding beauty and love everywhere.”
In closing, we take this opportunity to thank, along with all of you, the small team at the Alumni Office! They work tirelessly to produce newsletters, updates, informative emails, obituaries, and respond to many queries with patience and love.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May God bless you and your family!
