Request for Assistance in Circulating Alumni Appeal for Men’s Hostel Mess Renovation:

Dear Alumni,

Greetings from the Men’s Hostel Union, CMC Vellore.

We hope you are doing well and continue to cherish your memories of life at CMC.

We are writing to seek your support for an important reconstruction initiative currently being undertaken by the Men’s Hostel Union — the renovation and modernisation of the Men’s Hostel Mess.

Our mess, built over 70 years ago, has undergone a few minor modifications over the decades. As we all know, the mess is an integral part of hostel life and needs to function continuously without interruption. With the passage of time and evolving Government norms and regulations, certain aspects no longer meet the required standards. This has created the need for a comprehensive renovation of the mess structure and equipment, enabling the replacement and reconstruction of outdated facilities while also paving the way for modernisation through the addition of new essential equipment.

A few of our alumni – especially from the batch of 2001, have already generously contributed/committed towards this initiative, which has helped us secure the initial funds required to commence the renovation project. However, nearly two-thirds of the project (total cost about Rs 1.08 crores) still remains to be funded.

As our alumni, we earnestly seek your support and contribution towards this initiative.
