Dr. C K Eapen Lecture on 7th Nov 2025 Friday 8 – 9 am in CK Job Hall

We invite you for a talk by the Dr. CK Eapen titled: ‘Rural Kerala Physician in the last century’ on November 7, 2025 between 8-9 am in CK Job Hall, Paul Brand building.

 

Dr. CK Eapen is the 3rd recipient of the Dr. Mary Kane Award. He will receive this award on College day.

 

Late Dr Mary Kane was the first MD General Medicine alumnus from Christian

Medical College, Vellore and a student of Dr P. Kutumbiah. Her family has instituted

the Dr. Mary Kane ‘award for postgraduate alumni working in needy areas’.

Dr. CK Eapen (MD batch of 1961) has served in two mission hospitals in Kerala,

Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly and Malankara Medical Mission Hospital,

Kolenchery for 53 years. He has made pioneering contributions to management of

acute kidney in viper envenomation and Leptospirosis. He has mentored several

generations of physicians.
